Important Announcement For RYA Online Users |
|
Feedback has shown that many customers are being plagued
by the amount of unwanted (spam) mail received in their
RYA-Online mailbox. To improve the level of service
offered by Mistral Internet on behalf of RYA-Online we
shall shortly be implementing spam and virus filtering
on the RYA-Online mail server to reduce the amount of
unwanted and/or malicious mail received by our
customers. We would like to stress that you will not
need to make any changes to your dialup or e-mail
settings as a result of the introduction of this
service. All RYA Online features will continue to
operate as before. |
Any e-mail which the filtering system identifies as being spam will
be automatically quarantined. The system will send a daily
quarantine digest, listing the subject line and sender of any
e-mails which it has quarantined on your behalf. An example of one
such listing is shown below.

If you find that the system has mistakenly identified an
e-mail as spam, you can request that it be released by
clicking on the link in the 'ID' column. This will open a
new message window using your default mail client, in
most cases you can then simply click the 'send' button
and the complete message will be delivered to you by the
spam filtering system within a matter of minutes. It is
also possible to have every message released to you
simultaneously by replying to the quarantine message in
its entirety. Messages will be held in quarantine for a
maximum of 5 days before being automatically deleted. You
do not need to take any action in respect of unwanted
messages – these will simply be deleted in due course. |
